In 2013 FÁS was replaced by a new agency, named SOLAS, which would have responsibility for all public funding of further education and training. The training function of FÁS was absorbed into the restructured local Vocational Education Committees which were retitled Education and Training Boards (ETBs).

 

How to Apply

 

The majority of Education and Training Board Training Courses are free to unemployed persons and the first step is to contact your local Department of Social Protection, The Boulevard, Quinsboro Road, Bray. Tel (01) 2867912 to register and apply for training.

Make an appointment with your local DSP Employment Services Office and arrange a guidance interview to discuss the training options available to you.

 

Course Types & Delivery Options

Courses include market led, client led, pre-market led or supported training courses.

 

Course Delivery Options

There are a number of course delivery options available including day courses (full-time or part-time), evening courses, online courses and blended learning courses.
